The Last Place Our Dome be placed....

At 1st, our dome last location will be the place behind the old swimming pool...

but since have people complaint we make there like a trash place,

so we gonna move our bamboo craft back to HBP.. T.T

such a mesh for this place....

some group's craft still stay nice...

some group's craft is spoilt...

some just left part of it....

some is missing ! (so fast decomposes already?)

lucky is our dome craft still ''alive'',

unlucky is we gonna carry this big trash back to HBP~ >.<

instead of using the main road, we choose to using shortcut....

but shortcut was all the way steep...and with staircase !
the path was narrow !

but the craft was so big!

Lucky, so lucky...

there were 2 malay girls, they can put there craft on lorry...

when they passed through, they offer to help us...

helping by that 2 girls, we reach HBP~

Testing Dome....

Today,22 September 2010,most unforgetable day for all hbp 1st year student!!!!!because we need test our bamboo raft and dome at old swimming pool....all of us feel nervous and scare ....we got class before testing our raft,so we began test our raft at 12pm...

fast ! fast ! everyone rush to old swimming pool..

we also on the way to old swimming pool....but we no need bring along our bamboo raft...coz our raft already there....

arrive old swimming pool...pity....need bring out all bamboo raft ,because we only can carry the raft go in when doing testing....

testing began...we are group 11...

while waiting for test,we do some prepare before test.....we also discover 1 of our tyre ''puncit'' ....

while waiting for test,go watch how another group testing their bamboo raft...

but......unfortunately...fail....hope we bamboo raft won't sink too....

this is our bamboo raft and dome before testing....

finally......we turn....nervous + afraid....because only SueWen can swim,me and YenShan don't know swim....hope someone will save us if we sink....also thank ShuHui and KarTing were help us while we need go on the raft 1 by 1....

omg....bamboo raft sink also make our leader :YenShan hurt....she foot injured...bleeding not stop....

our bamboo raft and dome also crash......

although our bamboo raft and dome testing fail....but this also a great and unforgatable experience for us.....

Finally....

we step into the last week of progression week - the day before testing dome ~

today we gonna complete the last few step so that we able to do the dome test tomorrow...
early morning, we move our dome from the location we kept.

we move our dome to "Jabatan Keselamatan", to get help from them!!

we were so lucky, they were so kindly...
they willing to help, we do not need to move along the way to old swimming pool!!

due to the management department of swimming pool not allowed oil container sink into swimming pool, so we change to use tyre to float.

the bottles we collect before this, all useless already... :'-(

after we move the dome to swimming pool site,
we going to another step..

which is pump the tyre!

after pumped tyre, we move back to swimming pool site and tying~

and we can start to TEST !!!!


the result is out.....................

WE SUCCESS !!!!!!!!!

we move it to a place that won't have direct sunlight,
so that the bamboo won't crack...

**a small incident here...
during the tesing dome process,
my leg hurt by the bamboo....

although injured, but is very happy...because we are ready for tomorrow test!!

The next day, we continue our work on bamboo craft. We are cutting off the old tyre which we taken from a motor shop for free :D We cut the tyre into 6 smaller partition for tying the bamboo craft purpose.

we started tying the outer shape of the bamboo as a foundation





then we continue with tying others bamboo

Finally we done tying! (untill midnight i think :S )

We continue our work on the next morning. We gonna tie the upper part of our dome.

sharp to make it lighter




using masking tape to connect the bamboo stick, then tied with 'gasing'
thread to make it more stronger



adjusting the upper part of the craft



start to tied up all together with masking tape to fix the shape




then only we use 'gasing' thread to tie around the bamboo sticks




we add some bamboo sticks around the lower parts of the craft
to make a round shape

FINALLY DONE!

We finally able to finish it before Hari Raya Holiday. All of us will back hometown during holiday, so we are working to finish it as fast as possible. We plan to fill up the tyre after holiday because we afraid that the air in the tyre will not last long. Last but not least, SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI~! xD
